Studio Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Studio Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, spread across five days. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in the graphic or advertising industries who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Studio Manager will oversee daily operations, manage key accounts, and provide technical expertise to support our design and production processes.

Key responsibilities:

Enquiry Management: Handle and prioritise incoming studio enquiries. Ensure all enquiries are responded to within the target timeframe.

Brief Creation: Develop and distribute daily briefs for production and sales staff to streamline workflow.

Account Management: Manage key international accounts within our existing client portfolio. Drive growth by delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships.

Interpret client needs, offer design solutions, respond to sales queries, and provide product information and specifications as required. Utilise pre-press and print/paper knowledge to recommend the best design solutions.

Create technical drawings for quoting purposes and generate accurate quotes for clients.

Compile sales packs, dispatch samples to leads and orders, process orders, and generate invoices.

Brief production team on orders, follow up on sales leads and open quotes, and direct enquiries to appropriate sales partners.

Ensure sales partners have the necessary marketing and sales collateral and keep in-house systems and documents up to date.

Generate and communicate new release information and product updates to clients and key stakeholders.

Skills Required:

- Proficiency in InDesign and Adobe Acrobat, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Xero an advantage
- Strong knowledge of print production and pre-press processes.
- Experience with CRM and inventory software is an advantage.
- Excellent mathematical skills and strong spatial/visual awareness.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

We have short term part-time placements available for interns from time to time. These are based at our Auckland studio. The position involves preparing samples and marketing collateral and assisting with various studio tasks.
