Capturing a merging of hues as we view light and heat from a distance, Mirage asks how we consider colour in our lives.
Mirage deliberately emphasises colour variation found in standard grasscloth wallpapers, where natural fibre irregularities mean that seams are evident. Hand-painted brush textures merge, creating beautiful variations of tone.
"For our first grasscloth release, I thought about how much I love the variation in shades that occurs on grasscloth due to its natural fibres and how I wanted to emphasise this. Blending brushstrokes of colour felt like creating our own mirage. Subtle transitions from light to dark and layers of tone are a common theme running through my design, and the natural world provides many inspirations." - Emma Hayes
Mirage is designed to be hung as shown for even colour dispersion. Available in four shades – buff, daydream blue, gold and olive.
A metallic grasscloth, with non-woven paper backing, Mirage is available in residential and commercial grade wallcoverings. Samples are available through our website and via our showrooms.
